Baker Tilly (BVI) Limited reinforces insolvency and corporate recovery capability
Baker Tilly (BVI) Limited is reinforcing its Corporate Recovery and Insolvency practice. In June 2008, the firm added another Insolvency Practitioner ("IP"), Hadley Chilton, to their team and recently they also welcomed chartered accountant and insolvency specialist, Denis Murphy. The BVI firm is part of the Baker Tilly International global network working with specialists in many jurisdictions in the fields of Cross-border Insolvency, Asset Recovery & Tracing, Forensic Accounting and solvent liquidations.
John Greenwood, Director of the Firm's Corporate Recovery and Insolvency practice, commented: "I am delighted to have another IP on board and to have Denis, with five years of experience in a wide range of insolvency matters, to add some depth and to share the work load. This news comes at an important time as the global economic outlook is particularly unstable and the number of companies facing restructuring or insolvency is set to increase".
Hadley is a chartered accountant with nine years of experience in corporate recovery, insolvency and finance. He is a Member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3) and INSOL International and works full time on insolvent as well as solvent corporate recovery matters; his offshore experience includes working on high-profile compulsory and voluntary liquidations of mutual funds (such as the Cayman Islands-based REFCO-sponsored funds and Philadelphia Alternative Asset Fund Limited) and cross-border asset tracing and fraud cases. Denis has also forged a career in a range of insolvency matters and brings an important and sought-after skill-set. Completing the team is Marjorie Mayawin, a Certified Public Accountant, who concentrates on the voluntary liquidations of BVI companies.
