Baker Tilly (BVI) Limited Professional Development Training Workshops Catered for the Business Community: 13 - 16 July 2009

Baker Tilly (BVI) Limited is pleased to announce that it will be hosting another series of partial and full day training workshops on a variety of financial and corporate management topics, relevant to the Territory in relation to the current economic climate. The workshops will be presented at Maria's by the Sea and are open to all members of the business community.

For those practitioners required to obtain a certain level of annual continuing professional education ("CPE"), these workshops present an ideal opportunity to acquire CPE, without having to travel or organise self-study programmes.

The workshops will be organised in a format which will allow for flexibility in selecting only those modules which are most useful to you and/or your staff. A detailed schedule of the various workshops to be presented is detailed below, complete with a summary of the topics to be covered.

Mr. Peter Thatcher, BSc FCA, a chartered accountant and professional trainer from England will conduct the workshops on behalf of Baker Tilly (BVI) Limited. Peter is a Partner of Aptus Training Consultants; a firm which has over 20 years of business, training and accountancy expertise. Peter specialises in writing and presenting technical updates to a variety of public and private sector professionals.

In addition to presenting technical updates, Peter provides consultancy services to UK listed companies specifically in relation to the implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards "IFRS". He writes and delivers personal and professional development programmes for a range of blue chip and private companies. He also acts as a coach and mentor to individual partners, directors and senior managers in professional services firms and large companies.

The workshops are run in a relaxed style to encourage participation and idea sharing. This makes them enjoyable to attend as well as effective in transferring knowledge, skills and best practice in the relevant subjects.
