Baker Tilly Cayman is delighted to announce that Richard Reading has joined the firm as Audit Director. Richard is an Australian Chartered Accountant licensed by the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants to practice in the Cayman Islands. He joined Baker Tilly Cayman in May 2011 and leads the Cayman audit team. Previously, Richard worked for a Big 4 audit firm for over 10 years, in jurisdictions including Sydney, Grand Cayman and Toronto. He has also previously worked in the Baker Tilly British Virgin Islands office.

Richard has extensive experience in auditing and advising hedge funds, private equity funds and other alternative investment structures in a number of jurisdictions under IFRS, US GAAP and Canadian GAAP. He also has experience in a number of industries, including captive insurance, manufacturing, airlines and software.

Richard brings significant audit experience to the firm, to complement the insolvency practice which is headed by Hadley Chilton, who commented, "It is exciting to welcome Richard to the practice and his Cayman and BVI experience has been very well-received by our clients."
